New Plymouth child dies after being left in hot vehicle

NEW PLYMOUTH, Idaho (CBS2) - The Payette County Sheriff's Office says a little girl under the age of one died after being left in a hot vehicle.

Deputies responded to the call at 5 p.m. on Saturday.

Family members say the child left in the vehicle was not breathing. Emergency crews took her to the hospital where she was pronounced dead. Idaho State Police and the Payette County Sheriff's office are investigating.

An official cause of death has not yet been determined.
