Late-night collision kills Kuna man in Canyon County, blocks road for three hours

According to a recent news release, Idaho State Police is investigating a vehicle collision on Friday, Feb. 9, at 2:25 a.m., on Franklin Road east of Star Road, in Canyon County.

A 31-year-old man from Kuna walked in the eastbound lane on Franklin Road. A 2006 Nissan Sentra was also traveling eastbound on Franklin Road and struck the pedestrian, who succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

The driver of the Nissan, a 25-year-old man from Meridian, was wearing his seatbelt and was not transported.

Traffic was blocked for approximately three hours, allowing emergency responders to assist those involved and clear the scene.
